Chemical engineer by training, Thomas Genty also holds a PhD in environmental science from UQAT in mine water treatment. After working in R&D for 5 years at the Industrial Waste Technology Center in water treatment and environmental project management, he has been working for Agnico-Eagle's technical services for 9 years. He is currently a water treatment expert and works on water treatment and water management projects for different mine sites.
