Civil Industrial Electrical Engineer, Bachelor in physics from the Federico Santa María Technical University; he holds a Master of Astrophysics from Columbia University, USA, a Master of Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK, a Postgraduate Diploma from Singularity University; USA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Universidad Católica de Chile.

He is currently the Corporate Senior Manager of Strategic Services at Antofagasta Minerals. He was Vice President and Director of the Board of Directors of the Independent Coordinator of the National Electric System of Chile (2016 - 2019), Manager of the Gas & Energy Line of ENAP (2014 - 2016), Chairman of the Board of Directors of GNL Chile (2014 - 2016), Energy & Water Resources Corporate Manager of CODELCO (2010 - 2014); Vice President of the Board of Directors of GNL Mejillones S.A. (2010 - 2014) and President and Founder of the Committee on Energy and Climate Change of the Mining Council - SONAMI (2006 - 2014). In addition, he was Manager of Energy and Climate Change at BHP Billiton Base Metals (2005 - 2010); Head of the Economic Division of the National Economic Prosecutor's Office (1999 - 2004) and Head of the Electric Division in the National Energy Commission (1994 - 1998).
